We spoke with the owner of the aluminium yacht Joie de Vivre, which recently underwent an extensive refit at KM Yachtbuilders.
How did the refit process go?
“I first reached out to KM Yachtbuilders because I was interested in the Bestevaer sailing yachts. We stayed in touch over the years, and when my current yacht, a Zeeman 41, was due for a major paint job, I knew exactly who to call. KM Yachtbuilders are true specialists when it comes to aluminium yachts, including complex refit projects.”
Scope of the refit
“The refit involved extensive work. The wooden deckhouse was completely stripped and re-varnished, and a wide range of paint and finishing work was carried out. This included the mast, boom, complete hull and the underwater system. The quality of the varnishing and finishing clearly reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail of the KM Yachtbuilders team.”
