Stadtship 58 music c

The Stadtship 58 music c, which is clearly recognisable as a Van de Stadt Design yacht is custom-built for a Swiss customer who will be sailing mainly in the Mediterranean, the ‘music’ is another KM yacht with bare, unpainted aluminium hull. The shipyard’s characteristic smooth hull, the robust appearance and the low maintenance were the owner’s reasons for choosing this yacht.

Together with the water ballast and long waterline, the deep keel provides for outstanding sailing properties. On deck there is a keel stepped Hall Spars carbon mast with an aluminium Park Avenue boom custom-built by the shipyard itself. The deck fittings are predominantly Harken with 6 electric winches in the cockpit. The pilot house and the superstructure are painted off-white, and the walking areas on deck have an anti-slip coating. Teak is used only in the cockpit and the double helm. The deep cockpit provides a safe and sheltered area behind the pilot house. Thanks to the large windows, the crew is always able to look through or over the pilot house, either seated or standing.

The customer wanted a large pilot house in which at least 6 people could be comfortably seated at the table with an all-round outside view. The galley is situated on the starboard side and does of course feature all mod cons, including gas and electric cooking facilities. The owner’s cabin has its own wet cell, and there is a separate shower and toilet for the two other double cabins. There is a technical area with a work bench, extra bunk bed and storage space under the pilot house.

In terms of styling the owner has opted for a lot of white surfaces with mahogany detailing for items such as handles, frames, and doors. Other eye-catching features include the aluminium kitchen top and the attractive oak floor.
