With the ‘Katharos’ KM Yachtbuilders has once again delivered an unpainted aluminium yacht. Eeuwe Kooi, shipyard owner: “We’d like to have the chance to show off another painted yacht, but our customers are increasingly opting for a plain hull. That’s a big compliment for our shipbuilders!” The deck features the same basic colours as the interior: a black stripe on the hull just under the freeboard, a black radar unit and a superb black carbon mast and jib.
The wheelhouse and superstructure are white, and the deck is light grey. The mast is not only a pretty sight: it also contributes to the outstanding sailing properties of the Katharos. The ship has a length of just over 15 metres, but sails like a dinghy. Light on the helm, fast and manoeuvrable.
