The custom Bestevaer 42 ‘Wetterhoun’ is one of the two junior in the range of Bestevaer pilot cutters. Yet she maintains all the Bestevaer characheristics in performance, endurance and comfort as much as is possible in a 42ft sailing yacht.
The Bestevaer 42 ‘Wetterhoun’ builds on the success of the Bestevaer 36 ‘BV3’, which was launched in 2023 and awarded the title of ‘European Yacht of the Year 2024’ with special recognition for sustainability. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects, this custom Bestevaer 42 combines the sustainable and innovative features of the Bestevaer 36 and the series model Bestevaer 42, continuing Bestevaer’s commitment to sustainability.

With the use of 60% recycled aluminum, recycled sails, and a paint-free design, this yacht is finished with sustainable materials in the interior,
